So the moralistic folks at Fox TV blurred the breasts of Piccaso’s Les Femmes d’Alger. Auctioned by Christie’s for $179 mn, the painting broke the record for the most expensive piece of art to be sold at an auction.

This story by, quotes Fox’s anchor explaining the move, “We decided to blur the nude portions so that we could show it to you, on-air…”. Curiously, Fox TV left the butts as is, perhaps there are rules at Fox TV on body parts that can and can’t be shown to the public. The story aired on Fox 5 New York.

A painting goes on to set a world record and yet fails to pass the ‘virtuous’ standards of Fox.

So what do you blur or not to blur?
