Just type in “Penis” in your browser and tons of articles/research/forums will show up discussing – size, feel, options to increase size, pleasure points and so on. It is unlikely, that you will not know what the Penis looks like and it’s function? Surely, most of us didn’t even need to search!
Now how many of us, without pausing to think, can give us a lowdown on the “Clitoris” and it’s function? Further, how many know what it looks like or can draw the Clitoris? We know how the male body achieves orgasm, any idea how the female body reaches ‘there’?
NO? Let us introduce you to Cliteracy – ‘an art project that fuses street art, textiles and typography with the goal of educating a largely “ilcliterate” culture.’ Sophia Wallace is an artist based in New York and Cliteracy is her brain child. In an interview to Huffington Post, Wallace says, that the “project is looking aggressively at this denied organ in a woman’s body and asking, Why?”
Before you insulate this as another of those ‘women liberation, feminist’ projects, read some more, pay a little more attention – this incredible, powerful organ is a pleasure hub, that certainly is a cause for celebration!
And since it was discovered as late in 1998…we need to have those celebrations retrospectively!
